</span><i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14pt; mso-bidi-font-weight: bold;">Here we see Jesus, as so often times in the Bible, teaching his disciples not to be
like "them"– the religious hypocrites, but to humbly come before the
Father in spirit and truth – trusting that He knows our every need before we
ask & believing the will of God to be sovereign above all things - things which
are in heaven and on earth.<br />
Jesus starts his prayer “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name.” This
would suggest that as Christians, we believe and come to a God who rules and
reigns over both heaven and earth, and we can converse and come before him in
prayer addressing him as a “Father”. However, we are never to forget that this
Father is Hallowed (Holy) like no other. There is no one besides him, there is
no other like him and he has no running partner or equal to himself.</span></i><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14pt;"> </span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14pt; mso-fareast-font-family: "Times New Roman"; mso-fareast-language: EN-GB;"><o:p></o:p></span></div>

<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><em>In
the Book of Matthew, Chapter 6 Verse 11, Jesus says we should faithfully ask God in prayer to “give us this day
our daily bread”. Many times throughout scripture, we see the example of God’s
people receiving bread to sustain them. For example, when the Israelites ate
the manna whilst wondering the wilderness with Moses, also with the miracles
which Jesus performed before the multitudes in multiplying five loaves of bread
for all to eat. The Lord Jesus himself later goes on to describe himself as the
bread of life, as we <span style="font-family: inherit;">read</span> in John Chapter 6,</em></span><span style="color: black; font-family: inherit;"> </span></span></div>

said therefore to him, "What then do you do for a sign, that we may see,
and</strong></span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman","serif"; font-size: 14pt; line-height: 115%; mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-language: AR-SA; mso-fareast-font-family: Calibri; mso-fareast-language: EN-US; mso-fareast-theme-font: minor-latin;"> <strong>believe you? What work do you do? Our fathers ate the manna in
the wilderness. As it</strong> <strong>is written 'He gave them bread out of
heaven to eat. Jesus therefore said to them, "Most certainly I tell you,
it wasn't Moses who gave you the bread out of</strong> <strong>heaven, but my
Father gives you the true bread out of heaven. For the bread of God is</strong>
<strong>that which comes down out of heaven, and gives life to the world."
They said</strong> <strong>therefore to him, "Lord, always give us this
bread." Jesus said to them, "<span style="background-color: #d0e0e3; color: black;">I am the</span></strong><span style="background-color: #d0e0e3; color: black;"> </span><strong><span style="color: black;"><span style="background-color: #d0e0e3;">bread
of life.</span></span> He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who
believes in</strong> <strong>me will never be thirsty. But I told you that you
have seen me, and yet you don't</strong> <strong>believe. All those whom the
Father gives me will come to me. He who comes to</strong> <strong>me I will in
no way throw out. For I have come down from heaven, not to do my</strong> <strong>own
will, but the will of him who sent me. This is the will of my Father who sent</strong>
<strong>me, that of all he has given to me I should lose nothing, but should
raise him up at</strong> <strong>the last day. This is the will of the one who
sent me, that everyone who see the</strong> <strong>Son, and believes in him,
should have eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last</strong> <b style="mso-bidi-font-weight: normal;">day."</b></span></span></div>
